Biography

With 18 years of civil litigation experience, Scott Blake Hawkins is a dedicated advocate for individuals facing challenges such as insurance disputes, catastrophic injuries, and unfair treatment. His areas of practice encompass health insurance, automobile insurance, homeowners' insurance, life insurance claims, trucking/commercial truck crashes, automobile crashes, workplace injuries, products liability, medical malpractice, brain injuries, and general litigation.

Scott graduated from the University of Oklahoma with both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science before earning his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law. During law school, he received the prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award® in Legal Research and Writing I & II and Client Representation in Negotiations. He is also a graduate of the renowned Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming.

In a career marked by significant achievements, Scott was part of the legal team that secured a $62.7 million settlement, in conjunction with motivating corporate fatigue driving policy changes, in a landmark case involving a deadly turnpike collision, demonstrating his dedication to achieving justice for his clients.

In addition to his legal practice, Scott is deeply involved in the legal community. He serves on the Oklahoma Bar Association's Ethics and Evidence and Civil Procedure Committees and judges the association’s High School Mock Trial Competitions. He has also served as adjunct faculty, teaching trial practices to aspiring attorneys.

Scott is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma State and Federal Courts, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Over the course of his career, he has successfully tried numerous jury and bench trials to verdict.

A member of the Choctaw Nation and a native of a small southern Oklahoma town, Scott brings the values of hard work and community care to his practice. His approach to client care is grounded in strategic problem-solving, a strong presence, and an empathetic focus on reducing the uncertainty and frustration his clients face in and out of the courtroom.
