Jim T. Priest is a highly experienced trial lawyer who works principally in the areas of employment law, civil rights and constitutional law. At McKinney & Stringer, P.C., he serves individual, corporate and governmental clients in these areas.

Experience:
Priest is a recognized expert in employment cases, civil rights and constitutional law and he is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of employment law. He also has extensive courtroom experience in business litigation, personal injury and products liability cases. Priest represents corporate and individual employers in employment disputes at administrative hearings and in court. He acts as consultant to numerous local businesses regarding personnel and labor matters.

Priest has represented local governments and police officers in more than 100 police brutality lawsuits and has represented both public and private sector employees in discrimination and sexual harassment suits.

Prior to entering law school, Priest served on the Washington Staff of U.S. Senator Jacob K. Javits. He joined McKinney & Stringer in 1980 and was named a director of the firm in 1986.
